Miller, 78, Sunny Acres Mobile Home Park, Somerset RD 2, and formerly of Boswell, died Aug. 6, 1995, at home. Born Oct. 23, 1916, in Seward. Son of Carl F. and Irene (McGinnis) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, sister-in-law Doris Yoder, brothers-in-law Gibson Carlson and Donald Wendel, and father-in-law John McNutt. Survived by wife, the former Faye E. McNutt; mother-in-law, Ethel N. (Shaffer) McNutt, Arbutus Manor, Johnstown; sister-in-law, Betty (McNutt) Carlson-Wendel, Hollsopple RD 2, and brother-in-law, Bill Yoder, Boswell RD 2. Also survived by several nieces and nephews and half brother, Edward McGinnis, Washington, Pa. Graduate of the former Boswell High School and employed by Johnstown Plant, Bethlehem Steel Corp., during World War II. Formerly owned and operated a barber shop in Boswell for many years. Also employed by the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission as a toll collector in Somerset for 15 years. Was a youth leader in Pittsburgh and Ohio for 20 years prior to retirement. Observed 47th wedding anniversary Sept. 12, 1994. Served on the former J-B-J Joint School Board for several terms. Member of Cambria Lodge 278, F.&A.M., Johnstown. Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Hoffman Funeral Home, Allegheny Street, Boswell, where service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Pastors Joseph Beer and Arthur Gotjen officiating. Interment, Berkey Cemetery, Windber. Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials to the "In Touch" Hospice, Somerset, PA 15501 would be appreciated.
