Miller, 86, Arbutus Park Manor, formerly of Stoystown, went to be with his Lord on April 10, 2002, at the Manor. Born Oct. 24, 1915, son of the late Charles and Bertha (Miller) Miller. Russell was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. A 1923 graduate of Shade High School. Preceded in death by first wife, Rosanna (Weible), breaking a marriage union of 51 years. Also preceded in death by brothers Melville and Dwight and sisters Hazel Wirick, Verda Bowman, and Gladys Weible-Snyder. Survived by wife of nearly 17 years, Frances (miller-Weible); children, Evelyn, wife of James O'Donnell, Rockwood; Marlin, married to Stella (Whitney) Carlisle; and Carol, wife of Alfred Onstead, Central City. Also grandchildren, Elaine O'Donnell, Douglas O'Donnell, Mark Miller, Kelly Robbins, Julie Hill, Jeffrey Onstead, and Jane Onstead. Also six great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Also survived by brother Rev. Charles Miller, Lebanon, Ohio. He dearly loved his family. Was a union coal miner for 29 years, farmer, and retired from Naugle Feed and Supply. He was an avid gardener of vegetables and flowers. Russell was active in E.U.B. and United Methodist Churches all his life at Central City, and in later years at Otterbein. Was a lay leader, lay speaker, and held various other offices. His quiet, gentle spirit and his deep faith in God were inspiration to all who knew and loved him. He will be sadly missed by wife, children, family and friends. Visitation from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at George Mason Funeral Home, Davidsville. A service of celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Otterbein U.M. Church, Wilbur, with Pastor William Blair officiating. There will be viewing from 1 until time of service at 2 p.m. at the church. Burial at St. Thomas Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Building Fund of Otterbein U.M. Church, 594 Wilbur Road, Stoystown, Pa. 15563 or Arbutus Park Manor, 207 Ottawa St., Johnstown, Pa. 15904.
