Miller, 59, a former resident of Grantsville, died at his home in East Liberty, Ohio, February 12, following a paralytic stroke and a week's illness. Funeral services were held in the Evangelical United Brethren Church, East Liberty, on Saturday, February 15. Rev. W. D. Ramsey, assisted by Rev. W. E. Henry, and Rev. G. A. Clymer, paid high tribute to the noble life of their departed brother and friend. Many floral tributes also were expressions of the esteem he was held in by his friends and neighbors. The pallbearers were his nephews, William Henry, Wilbur Erickson, Robert Jenkins, Blaine Beachy, Harold Miller and Edward Jenkins. Interment was made in East Liberty Cemetery. Mr. Miller was a son of the late Harvey and Elizabeth (Gingerich) Miller. He was born near Grantsville, April 14, 1887. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Blanche (Henry) Miller, a son, Harry, at home; three brothers, Fred Miller, Grantsville; Louis Miller, East Akron, Ohio, and Gumie, Philadelphia, and three sisters, Mrs. Milton Shumaker, Chester, Pa.; Mrs. Sherman Beachy and Mrs. Edward Jenkins, Grantsville. He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church at East Liberty for 34 years, during which time he served on the official board and was a trustee at the time of his death. He was active in many affairs for the benefit of the community and was a highly respected citizen and friend and a good husband and father. Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Beachy and Mrs. Norman Patton, Grantsville; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Otto, Springs, Pa.; Mrs. Harry Pope, Meyersdale; Mrs. Carl Van Horn, Elyria, Ohio; Mr. and Mrs. Milton Shumaker, Chester, Pa.; Mr. and Mrs. Gumie Miller, Philadelphia.
