Moore, 59, of Jacksonville, Fla., went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2002, due to complications after 12 years on kidney dialysis at St. Vincent's Hospital of Jacksonville, Fla., with his family by his side. Earl was born in Morgantown, W.Va., in 1943. Earl was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Catherine St. Clair of Morgantown, W.Va. and father, Elwood Lloyd Moore of Somerset. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Vivian Moore (Kiernan), one sister, Nettie Zeni and niece Shelley Rosenberger both of Morgantown, W.Va., one daughter, Arlene (Tim) Kliewer of Sacramento, Calif., one son, Thomas (Lori) Moore, two step grandchildren, Karissa and Kelsey, one step great-grandson, Isaiah, all of San Deigo, Calif. Graduated from University High School in 1961. Attended three years at Arlington Baptist College in Arlington, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army for four years and 14 years in the U.S. Navy. He retired from the Navy in 1990 and moved to Jacksonville in 1991. Mr. Moore was an active member of the Fleet Reserve Association, Disabled American Veterans Association, American Legion Post 137, and Veterans of Foreign War 7909. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Fraser Funeral Home, 8168 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, Fla., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday with Rev. Ray Mayfield of Westside Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens. Daily American, May 18, 2002 [M2235]
