Born Aug. 5, 1915, in Elk Lick Township, son of the late Ernest V. and Anna Pearl (Livengood) Mort. Member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salisbury, and the Salisbury American Legion. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, the former Eileen Bittinger; a son, Richard, Newark, Ohio; a daughter, Barbara Mort, Winchester, Va.; a sister, Pearl Warnick, Akron, Ohio; also 4 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Newman Funeral Home Inc., Salisbury, where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, with the Rev. David E. Fetter officiating.
