    Merle F. "Butch" Mostoller, 56, Somerset Pike, Boswell (Jenner Township), died Aug. 3,
  2006, at home. Born May 14, 1950, in Somerset, son of Warren E. and Emma Jane (Myers)
  Mostoller. Preceded in death by father-in-law, Roy E. Barndt, and nephew, Justin Chappue.
  Survived by parents; wife of 35 years, the former Margaret "Peg" Barndt; daughters,
  Rachael Mostoller and Greta, married to Kermit Stahl, both of Somerset; beloved
  granddaughters, Paige and Tessa Stahl; mother- in-law, Ada (Lowry) Barndt, Somerset;
  sister, Metta, married to Shelley Darr, Jenner Township; niece, Amanda, married to Robert
  Landis, Berlin; sister-in-law, Patricia Chappue, Somerset; and nephew, Jarad Chappue,
  Ariz. A 1967 graduate of the former Jenner-Boswell High School and also attended UPJ for
  several years. A member of the Mount Laurel United Church of Christ near Gray, Jenner Rod
  & Gun Club, Jenner Community Sportsmen and the Somerset Aerie 1801 FOE; and life member of
  the National Rifle Association. Owned and operated Mostoller's Sport Shop since 1971. Was
  an avid fisherman and hunter, whose love of firearms and people became his life's work.
  Farming and raising Angus cattle were his favorite hobbies, along with time spent with
  family and friends. Visitation from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Hoffman Funeral Home and
  Cremation Services, Main Street, Boswell, and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11
  a.m. Monday at the Mount Laurel Church, the Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Beer officiating.
  Interment, Edie Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the National
  Kidney Foundation, Attn: Kathy, 700 Fifth Ave. 4th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219 or the
  Mount Laurel UCC, 1209 Keysertown Road, Boswell, PA 15531.
