Born May 16, 1889 in Fairhope, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Eliza (Kennell) Coughenour. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman G. Mowry and was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church of Pleasant Ridge. She is survived by three sons: Maurice Mowry, RD 1, Mann's Choice; H. Claude Mowry, Spofford, N.H.; and Paul E. Mowry, RD 5, Bedford.; one daughter, Mrs. Hazel Bratton, Berkeley Springs; two brothers, Harry Coughenour, Hollidaysburg and Merle Coughenour, Salisbury; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Zeigler Funeral Home, Hyndman, where services were conducted in the funeral home by Rev. Steve Burr. Interment will be in Trinity Dry Ridge Cemetery.
