U.S. Army Retired, 81, of RD 2 Stoystown, died Sept. 24 at his residence. Born Feb. 14, 1908 in Pittsburgh. Son of the late William Michael and Grace Constance (Sweeney) Munhall. Preceded by one brother and one sister. Survived by sisters, Miss Grace C. Munhall and Mrs. Ursula Wise, both of Pittsburgh and Mrs. Rosemary Nogosek, Aiken, S.C. Also 12 nieces and nephews including Robert G. Munhall of Gibsonia, Pa. and 32 grand nieces and nephews. Veteran of World War II and the Korean War. Retired civil engineer from Neilan Engineers. Was Somerset County Auditor from 1972 to 1975 and Shade Township engineer until 1987. Member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, VFW Post 554, American Legion Post 181, Somerset Rotary Club and the Society of American Engineers. Friends received 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday Hauger-Zeigler Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m., Thursday at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Msgr. Samuel Tomaselli celebrant. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Pittsburgh. Rosary service 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Duquesne University's building fund.
