    Jimmie R. Nair, 77, of Somerset, formerly of Roseburg, Ore., died Aug. 19,
  1999, at home.
  Born Nov. 1, 1921, in Atlanta, Ga., daughter of the late James and May
  (Steele) Little. Preceded in death by husband Col. Robert L. Nair in 1991;
  sisters Hazel Cannon and Lorraine Harrison; brothers Lester, Robert, Frank
  and James Little; and step-son Scott Nair. Survived by daughter Carolyn
  (married to Dr. Lewis K. Shafer) of Somerset and sons James (married to Susan
  Nair) of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Marc (married to Brooke Nair) of Scio, Ore.,
  Larry Nair of Carson City, Nev., and Howard Nair of Nantucket, Mass.  Also
  survived by four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Sister of Billie
  Anne Murphy of Miami Lakes, Fla., Juanita Dunn of Grand Junction, Colo., and
  Elsie Rhodes of Albany, Ga.  Sister-in-law of Barbara, Hazel and Ann Little,
  all of Atlanta, Ga., and Margaret Newmeyer, Latrobe. She was a retired
  secretary who moved to Somerset in April after living for 22 years in
  Roseburg.  While in Oregon, she was the district coordinator of Tax
  Counseling for the Elderly for several years. This program is sponsored by
  R.S.V.P. locally and the A.A.R.P. nationally.  A memorial service will be
  held at a later date.  Arrangements by Miller Funeral Home, Somerset.
