All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ SIMON NICHOLSON Simon Nicholson, 91, of Berlin, a retired employee of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, died Monday morning, Jan. 31, at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Harold Walker, in Somerset. He had been ill only since Sunday. Mr. Nicholson, who had a service record of 50 years with the railroad company, had made his home for the last 18 months in Somerset. His wife, Mrs. Lucretia (Putman) Nicholson, died seven years ago. Surviving are five children - William, Benscreek; Herbert, Johnstown; Frank, Albany, N.Y.; Ellwood, Connellsville, and Clarence, Friedens. Two daughters and four sons are dead. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Johnson & Son Funeral Home in Berlin, where friends are being received. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
