  O'BAKER
  
  H. Vale O'Baker, 78, Center Street, Boswell, died Feb. 2, 2002, at Somerset 
  Hospital.  Born April 22, 1923, in Boswell, son of the late Howard and Gladys 
  (Shaffer) O'Baker.  Survived by wife, the former Ann M. Caton, and daughter, 
  Valerie A., married to Daniel Baer of Friedens. Brother of Leah, married to 
  Maxwell Martin of Toledo, Ohio; Loraine, married to Joseph Fulton of Boswell RD; 
  Evan, married to the former Joyce Kaufman of Erie; and Karen, married to Robert 
  DeMarco of Erie.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  A member of 
  Hopewell United Methodist Church, Jenner Rod & Gun Club, Boswell Post 461 
  American Legion, and New Baltimore, Ferndale and Jenner Community sportsmen's 
  clubs.  A 1940 graduate of the former Boswell High School.  Army veteran of World 
  War II and retired employee of U.S. Steel, Johnstown Works.  Friends received 
  from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at 
  Hoffman Funeral Home, Main street, Boswell, Rev. Wilma G. Homer officiating. 
  Interment, Jenner Crossroads Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in 
  Vale's name may be sent to Hopewell Church, 151 Hopewell Road, Hollsopple, Pa.,
