  CHARLELS F. OESTER
  
    Charles F. Oester, 87, Meyersdale, died August 31, at his home.
    A native of The Cove, he was a son of the late John and Mary (Kassel)
  Oester.  His wife, Carrie Elizabeth (Nicholson) Oester, preceded him in
  death. 
    A veteran of World War I, he was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church
  (Missouri Synod), The Cove.
    Surviving are two sons, Wayne Oester, Garrett, and Gerald Oester,
  Meyersdale; a brother, Oscar W. Oester Clearwater, Fla.; 11 grandchildren
  and one great grandchild.
    Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home.  Services were
  conducted at St. John's Lutheran Church by Rev. August Kreutz.  Interment
  was in the church cemetery.
