PALMER A Victim of Meningitis GRANTSVILLE, May 20 - Elmer L. Palmer, aged 26 years, son of Henry C. Palmer, of Jennings, died in the Memorial Hospital, Johnstown, Pa., at 10:30 Sunday night, after an illness of three weeks of spinal meningitis. He had been employed by the Boswell Lumber Company as lumber grader at Boswell, Pa., for several years. He is survived by his father, three sisters - Mrs. Fred Yommer, Grantsville; Miss Bertha Palmer, Meyersdale; Mrs. Ray Wilt, Jennings - also by three half sisters - Mrs. Lizzie Perkins, Barton, Md.; Mrs. Mary Bowser and Mrs. Nellie Hering, Athens, Pa. - and one brother, Jesse Hunsinger, Morgantown, W.Va. A private burial was held on Tuesday morning in the Grantsville Cemetery; Rev. E. E. Campbell, of Bittinger, officiated. Meyersdale Republican, May 22, 1930
