  CLAY M. PHENICIE
  
  Clay M. Phenicie, 70, of Garrett, died July 12, 1972, in Holy Cross
  Hospital, Silver Spring, Md; Born July 30, 1901, in Garrett, he was a
  son of the late Frank and Anna (Hoes) Phenicie.  Surviving are his
  wife, the former Hilda Shultz; four sons, Frank of Berlin; Clay Jr;,
  Amarillo, Texas; Jack of College Park, Md; and Dale of Beltsville,
  Md;; also 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  He was a
  brother of Harry Phenicie, Brownsville; Mrs. Pearl Ranch, Orlando,
  Fla.; Mrs. Claire Darr, Baltimore; and Miss Anna Phenicie, Garrett.
  He was a member of Garrett Church of the Brethren.  Funeral service
  was held Saturday afternoon in Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, with
  Rev. Dean Sheller officiating.  Interment in Highland Cemetery,
  Garrett.
