Pletcher, 75, of Markleton RD 1, died at her home, Jan. 15, 1987. Born Aug. 18, 1911, in Casselman, a daughter of Charles and Jenny (Ohler) May. She is survived by her husband, William, and death ends a marriage union of 56 years; also two sons, Charles of New Brighton and Harry of Butler; one daughter, Mrs. Erma Hay of Markleton; 11 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; a sister, Ethel Speicher of Markleton; and a brother, Wilbur May of Markleton. She was preceded in death by a son, Ernest, two sisters and six brothers. She was a member of the Old Bethel Church of God. Friends will be received at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, and 10-11:30 a.m. on Sunday at which time she will be removed to the Old Bethel Church of God where she will lie in state from 1-2 p.m., the time of the service, with Pastor Douglas Baker officiating.
