Pluck, 73, of Hooversville, died Saturday, June 2, 2001, at home. He was born Feb. 28, 1928, in Lowber, a son of the late George and Mary Edna (Harper) Pluck. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, June N. (Monticue) Pluck; two brothers: William and Lawrence Pluck; and three sisters: Rose Knupp, Ann Matterson and Bertha Holridge. He is survived by four children: Charles L. of Beat Rocks, Clarence O. of Hooversville, Deborah Watt of Uniontown and Luther B. Pluck of Berlin; 14 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mary Berkbile and Viola Cramer, both of Somerset; and several nieces and nephews. Prior to retirement, he worked for Latrobe Construction. Friends were received Sunday at the Gaut-Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasant Unity, where funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James L. Monticue officiating.
