  PORTERFIELD
  
    Walter P. Porterfield, 72, of Meyersdale died March 15, 2000 in
  Meyersdale Medical Center.  He was born July 31, 1927 in
  Connellsville, a son of the late Clarence A. and Dorothy
  Porterfield.  He was preceded in death by a wife Dolores May
  (Hershberger) Porterfield and brother Richard.  He is survived by his
  widow JoAnne Long (Weimer) Porterfield, and these children, Walter
  William, Harry Dane and Tammy Lee Porterfield, all of Connellsville,
  Nick Michael Porter of Seven Springs, Greg Weimer Sr., Dean Weimer,
  and Roxann Teets all of Meyersdale, and Bryan Weimer of Salisbury. 
  Also 15 grandchildren, a brother Tom Porterfield, Connellsville, and
  sister Jane Pirl of Mill Run.  A memorial service will be held at 2
  p.m. Friday at his home 125 Krause Trailer Court with Pastor Craig
  Lyman under the direction of Leckemby Funeral Home.
