Born June 3, 1919 in Frostburg, MD; he was the son of the late E. Irvin and Annie (Blank) Prichard. A graduate of Pennsylvania State University and a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity, he served in the Army in World War II. He was a director of the First National Bank of Maryland and the Superior Clay Corporation, Uhrichsville, Ohio, and was a past director of the American Hardware Supply Company. He was a member of Salem United Church of Christ; the Oakmont Country Club, Pittsburgh; the Carnousti Golf Club in Scotland, Pa.; the Maplehurst Country Club; Frostburg BPO Elks Lodge 470; and Farrady Post 24, American Legion. Survivors include his widow, Ruth (Bolden) Prichard; two sons, Robert W. Prichard and Ronald B. Prichard, both of Frostburg, Md.; one daughter, Dianne L. Brodell, Cleveland, Ohio; two sisters, Evelyn P. Smith and Louise P. Weaver, both of Advance, N.C.; one brother, William B. Prichard, Frostburg, MD; and four grandchildren. One brother and one sister preceded him in death. Friends were received at the Sowers Funeral Home where services were conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. John G. Ferguson.
