Pugh, 58, of 619 10th Avenue, Berlin, died April 2, 1979, at the Somerset Community Hospital. Born Jan. 14, 1921, in Somerset Township, he was the son of Robert and Emma (Custer) Pugh. He was preceded in death by parents, two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by wife, the former Betty Mae Dickey, and one daughter, Margaret, at home. He was the brother of Miss Ethel Pugh, Mrs. John (Gladys) Faidley, Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Byrd and Dale Pugh, all of Somerset; Mrs. Maude Wills of Boca Raton, Fla.; Donald Pugh of Middletown, Fla.; and Mrs. David (Grace) Dallas of Shawnee Mission, Kans. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WW II and Korean War, a rural mail carrier for the past 23 years, member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin, the S.S. Crouse American Legion Post 181, Somerset, and the Harry Fisher American Legion Post 445, Berlin, and the Rural Letter Carrier's Association, member of the Berlin Fire Department, and the Somerset County Ambulance Association, treasurer and crew captain of the Berlin Area Ambulance Association. Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin, where services were with the Rev. Kenneth S. Swanson and the Rev. George E. Buechner officiating. Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F.
