Pyle, 95, of Middlecreek Township passed on Dec. 3, 2003 at Somerset Hospital. Born Feb. 24, 1908 in Middlecreek Township, he is the son of the late Lyman and Elsie (Countryman) Pyle. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elizabeth (Kennenkamp) Pyle; and an infant brother. He is survived by his daughters: Unita, married to Bill Dull of New Centerville and Martha, married to Glenn Bickerstaff of Kannapolis, N.C.; grandchildren: Amy, married to Fred Kaufman of Alexandria, Va.; Beth, married to James Miller of New Centerville; Douglas Bickerstaff, married to Jenny of Mt. Pleasant, N.C.; and Dan Bickerstaff, married to Tara of Kannapolis; and great grandchildren: Dylan and Molly Miller and Kelsey Kaufman. He was a charter member of the Laurel Hill Lions Club in New Centerville and was a long time Middlecreek Township school director. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Trent. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, Somerset, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Will Osman officiating. Interment at Barron's Church Cemetery. The Lions Club will hold a service at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Paul's Lutheran Church at P. O. Box 126, Rockwood, Pa., 15557.
