(Leslie) Spangler-Reckner, 96, of Thomas Road, Hollsopple RD, died Aug. 8, 1999, at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born March 15, 1903, in Fort Hill, a daughter of Garfield and Mary (Snyder) Leslie. Preceded in death by parents; first husband, Wilbur F. Spangler; second husband, Harry M. Reckner; children, Ray Spangler, Clifford Spangler and Mary (Spangler) Alexander; great-granddaughter, Terri Ann Alexander; stepson, James Reckner; brothers, Joseph and Peter; and sister, Hazel Leslie. Survived by children, Dorcas (Spangler), married to Glenn Witt, Dover; Marlin Spangler and companion, Lila Koontz, Jenners; Roy Spangler, married to former LaRue Simmons, Duncansville; and Betty (Spangler), married to Richard Bergman, Grafton, Ohio; stepchildren: Albert "Tub" Reckner, married to former Ruth Rodehaver; Euldean (Reckner), married to Robert Shields; Naomi (Reckner), married to Robert Oaks, all of Jerome; Janice (Reckner) Lint, Boswell; Donna (Reckner), married to Warren H. Shaffer, Hooversville; and Dorcas (Reckner), married to James Garlesky, Hollsopple; 23 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Louise Goss, Harrisburg; son-in-law, Charles Alexander, Johnstown; step-daughter-in-law, Ethel Reckner, Jerome; and special caregivers, Ethel, Betty and Patty. Member of the Jerome Church of the Nazarene. Mayme enjoyed her long life on the farm and visits by her friends and relatives. Friends received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home, Main Street, Boswell. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m., Wednesday at Jerome Nazarene Church, Rev.
