  MRS. DANIEL M. REED 
  
  Mrs. Margaret E. Reed, 81, of Berlin RD 1, died Oct. 27, 1974, in Somerset
  Community Hospital.  Born Dec. 19, 1892, in Somerset County, she was a
  daughter of Charles and Eliza (Leverknight) Rose.  She was preceded in death
  by her first husband, Elmer Lape; her parents: three daughters, Minnie,
  Ethel and Blanche; two sisters and three brothers.  Surviving are her
  husband, Daniel M. Reed; and these children; Mrs. Michael Szabo, Akron,
  Ohio; Mrs. Edna Meyers, Cleveland, Ohio; Webster and Arthur, both of
  Friedens, RD 1: Mrs. Mary Manges, Central City RD 1; Ray of Lancaster; and
  Paul, at home; also 30 grandchildren, and a number of great-grandchildren
  and great-great-grandchildren.  She was a sister of Elmer, Stoystown RD 2;
  Samuel, Windber RD; Benjamin, New Paris; Mrs. Kathryn Davis, Johnstown; and
  Mrs. Harry Snyder, Somerset.  Funeral service was conducted Wednesday
  afternoon in Charles R. Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, with Rev. Marlin A.
  Miller officiating.  Interment in Walker Cemetery, Shanksville.
