William A. Reininger, died Tuesday night of last week at the family home near Ligonier, in her 83rd year. The Reininger family resided in Salisbury several years, more than 20 years ago, during which time Rev. Reininger was pastor of the United Evangelical Church, which later ceased to function on account of the death of some of its members, and removal from the community of others. During their residence here, Rev. and Mrs. Reininger, as well as the other members of the family, made many friends, who will be sorry to learn that both Rev. and Mrs. Reininger have passed away. Just how many children there were in the Reininger family when they resided here, the writer does not now recall, nor does he know how many survive. However, he recalls two daughters while the family resided here, Misses Hulda and Birdie. The former was a popular clerk in Zimmerman's Racket store, which did a flourishing business in Salisbury at that time. The other daughter was a part-time employe of the writer, who at that time published the late Somerset County Star. Meyersdale Republican, July 28, 1932
