Born at Shaw Mines, he was the son of the late Samuel J. Ringler and Ellen M. (Duecker) Ringler. He had been an employee of East Shore Materials Company, Harrisburg, and was a former resident of Frostburg, Md. Twice married, Mr. Ringler was preceded in death by both wives, Mrs. Elizabeth (Baum) Ringler and Mrs. Effie (Folk) Ringler. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Grace Hawkins, Frostburg, Md.; two grandsons, Dale Hawkins and Richard Hawkins, both of Upper Marlboro, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Olie Herring, Salisbury; a step daughter, Mrs. Margaret Deist, Frostburg, Md.; a step son, Franklin Rush, Asheville, N.C., a number of nieces and nephews and step-grandchildren. Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home where services were conducted with the Rev. George L. Wehler officiating. Interment, St. Paul's Cemetery. The Republic, November 9, 1978 [R612]
