Ryman, 84, of 20 Barton Street, Newaygo, Mich., formerly of Salisbury, died June 14, 1996, at his residence. Ryman was born July 18, 1911, in Jennings, Md. He was the son of the late Marvin and Anna (Hayes) Ryman. He was also preceded in death by a son, Floyd, in March 1996, and a daughter, Mary, in December 1956. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Zelda M. (Butler) Ryman, who he married in 1932; three daughters: Virginia Durst, Newaygo; Ruth Newman and husband, Richard, Grantsville, Md.; and Wanda Butler and husband, Earl, Boynton; four sons: Russell and wife, Wenda, East Liverpool, Ohio; James and wife, Dorothy; Marvin and Marshall, all of Newaygo; a daughter-in-law, June Ryman, Newaygo; 22 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and three sisters. Ryman moved to Michigan in 1971. He was a member of the River Valley Community Church, Newaygo. He was a retired coal miner with local 7896. Friends were received at the Newman Funeral Home in Salisbury. Funeral services were conducted June 17 at the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church in Boynton. Rev. Garry L. Kipe officiated.
