  SCHEAFER
  
  William M. Scheafer, 63, of 304* Diamond St., Berlin died March 2,
  1975 in Meyersdale Community Hospital.  He was born in Dubuque, Iowa,
  April 4, 1911, the son of Oscar and Jessie (Thayer) Scheafer. 
  Preceded in death by his father and three brothers.  Survived by his
  mother in Berlin and these children: Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Komm of
  Oakdale; Lyle of Miami, Fla.; William, of Dallas, Texas; and three
  grandchildren.  Also by a brother, Walter of Brunswick, Ohio and a
  sister, Nadine of Clearfield.  He was a member and past commander of
  American Legion Post 445, Berlin and was retired music director of
  Berlin-Brothersvalley School District.  Friends will be received in
  the Johnson and Son Funeral Home, Berlin after 7 p.m. Thursday
  (today) where services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. with the Rev.
  Charles W. Sigler officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
