  WILLIAM W. SCHERER
  
    William W. Scherer, 67, of Meyersdale, died May 20, 1973, in
  Meyersdale Community Hospital.  Born Aug. 22, 1905, in Berne,
  Switzerland, he was a son of Emile and Pauline (Egli) Scherer.
    Surviving are his wife, the former Elsie Busck; a son, William of
  Frostburg, Md.; two grandchildren; a brother, Max of Berne,
  Switzerland; and four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Zettel and Mrs. Hedy
  Withrich, both of Berne, Switzerland; Mrs. Dory Bretscher of Long
  Island, N.Y.; and Miss Emmy Scherer.
    Funeral service was held Tuesday morning in Price Funeral Home,
  Meyersdale, with Rev. Robert Burns officiating.  Interment in Union
  Cemetery.
