  SUSAN PEARL SCURFIELD
  
    Susan Pearl Scurfield, 92, Berlin, died April 9, 1980 at Maple
  Mountain Manor.
    She was born June 25, 1887 in Hyndman, a daughter of William and
  Barbara Ann (Richey) Malsberry.  She was preceded in death by her
  parents; her husband, Edward H. Scurfield; two brothers; two sisters
  and one grandson.
    She is survived by these children:  William E.; Mrs. Barbara Landis
  and Mrs. Wilfred (Mildred) Smith, all of Berlin; Mrs. Evelyn Verka,
  New York City; and these grandchildren:  David E. Smith, Somerset;
  James E. Scurfield, Berlin; Mrs. Susan Smith Liggett, Plymouth Mich.;
  William  H. Smith, Newark, Del.; and ten great grandchildren.
    She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Berlin and Berlin
  Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
    Friends were received at the Johnson-Kuhlman Funeral Home, Berlin.
    Private funeral services were held with the Rev. Lloyd E. Sechriest
  officiating.  Interment, Berlin I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
