He was born April 6, 1932, in Boswell, a son of Karl F. and Villa Marie Letcher Shank. He was preceded in death by his father in 1948 and first wife Beverly Ann Chase in 1955. He is survived by his mother Villa, wife of Eugene Horner of Jennerstown; second wife, the former Betty Konitsky; a son, William Letcher Shank Jr. of Jennerstown; and a daughter, Rose Marie, at home. He was a brother of LuAnn, wife of George Gore of Boswell RD 1. He was an enforcement officer for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board. He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg; Bellwood Eagles' Lodge; and Fraternal Order of Police. He was a graduate of Boswell High School and a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Navy. Friends received from 7-9 p.m. today and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Joseph H. Hoffman Funeral Home, 227 Allegheny Street, Boswell where rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Mass of Resurrection at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. JohnAos Catholic Church, Acosta, the Rev. J.
