NELSON SHAULIS

  Nelson J. Shaulis, aged 72 years, died suddenly last Thursday afternoon at his 
home in Somerset, following a stroke of apoplexy.
  Mr. Shaulis had apparently been in good health until a short time before he 
was stricken.  He was alone when death entered his bedroom.
  Mr. Shaulis came to Somerset from Lincoln Township about 10 years ago and for 
several years conducted a retail shoe store.  His wife died just before he came 
to Somerset.  He is survived by two sons, Nevin Shaulis, of Johnstown, and Guy 
Shaulis, at home.  He also leaves a brother Michael Shaulis, of Friedens, and a 
sister, Mrs. Silas Bittner, of Somerset.
  Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon by Rev. Geo. L. Roth, D.D., of 
St. Paul's Reformed Church.
