Shaver, 71, Berlin, formerly of Stoystown, died June 12, 1978, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born July 22, 1906, in Shade Township, daughter of George and Helena (Long) Bowser. Preceded in death by parents; husband Lloyd; and two brothers, Lloyd and Joseph. Survived by these children: Mrs. Kenneth (Evelyn) Sheffler, Parker's Ferry, W.Va.; Kenneth W., North Forrestville, Md.; Mrs. Joseph (Gloria) Hollan, Hooversville; and Robert L., Somerset RD 7; eight grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Sister of Mrs. Verna Walsh, New Kensington; Mrs. Harry (Agnes) Tew, Pensacola, Fla.; Mrs. Theodore (Bertha) Tew and Mrs. Chalmer (Martha) Kegg, both of Bedford; Mrs. Gertrude Good, Johnstown; and Mrs. Quintin (Mabel) King of Everett. Member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Stoystown, and Stoystown Volunteer Fire Co. Auxiliary. Family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev.
