All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/somerset/ ________________________________________________ WILLIAM WESLEY SHEIRER William Wesley Sheirer died at his home in Madley, Pa., on Wednesday, May 25, at 5:30 a.m. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Rachel Wagerman Sheirer, and was born in Bedford County. Mr. Sheirer was in ill health for over a year and several weeks ago was stricken with paralysis which eventually caused his death. He was aged 52 years, 1 month and 27 days. In 1911 Mr. Sheirer was united in marriage with Anna Catherine Stuby. To this union were born five children - Ethel, now Mrs. Raymond Hurley, of Buffalo Mills; Harvey, Blaine, Glenn and Billy, all at home. These children, along with his wife, are left to mourn his death. Mr. Shearer was a prominent farmer of Bedford County and a true and loyal neighbor. He was laid to rest in the Madley Cemetery, Friday afternoon at 2:30, with funeral services in the Lutheran Church at Madley. Besides his wife and children, he is survived by two sisters and three brothers - Mrs. Eli Clites of Boynton, Mrs. Silas Clites of Buffalo Mills, Harry of Cresaptown, Md., Daniel of Hollsopple, and Samuel of Toronto, Ohio. Two sisters, Mrs. Clinton Bowman, Mrs. Conrad Metzger, and one brother, George, preceded him to the grave. Meyersdale Republican, June 2, 1932
