GEORGE SHOCKEY

  Funeral services for George Shockey, aged 74 years, 9 months and 2 days, of 
Greenville Township, who died Sunday, May 10, in the Community Hospital in 
Somerset, were conducted at 2 o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon in the White Oak 
Lutheran Church.  Rev. J. E. Gindlesperger will officiate, assisted by Rev. S. 
D. Sigler.  Interment was made in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Berlin, under the 
direction of Johnson and Son.
  The deceased, a son of Eli and Margaret (Moyer) Shockey, was born on August 
12, 1867.  His wife preceded him in death.
  Surviving are these children: Cleo M. Shockey, Meyersdale; Mrs. Margaret L. 
Cross, Meyersdale R.D. 2; John H. Shockey, Butler; Eli Shockey, Pittsburgh; Mrs. 
Anna Green, Baltimore, Md., and Samuel H. Shockey, St. Clairsville, Ohio.  He is 
also survived by two brothers, Christian H. Shockey, of Stoystown and Herman 
Shockey, Meyersdale R.D. 3.
