  SLICKERMAN
  
  George P. Slickerman, 73, Somerset RD 2, formerly of Somerset RD 5,
  died Jan. 11, 1988, in Mercy Hospital, Johnstown.  Born Oct. 30,
  1914, in Somerset Township, son of the late Hiram L. and Catherine
  Mae (Zerfoss) Slickerman.  Also preceded in death by two brothers:
  Richard and Harold, and a sister, Carolyn.  Brother of: Henry A.
  Schlickerman, Somerset; Mrs. Lester (Mary Louise) Flickinger,
  Somerset RD 5; Mrs. Ellen Walbush, Sipesville; and Mrs. Lottie Emert,
  Somerset RD 2; also six nieces and four nephews.  He retired in August
  of 1966 as a staff sergeant with the U.S. Air Force, after 24 years of
  service.  A member of V.F.W. Post 554 of Somerset.  Family will
  receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Hauger-Zeigler
  Funeral Home, where services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m., with
  the Rev. Charles F. Olson officiating.  Interment, Beulah Cemetery.
