Born Jan. 4, 1912 in Confluence, son of the late Ralph and Pearl (Tannehill) Smith. Survived by his wife, the former Martha Mildred Nickelson, his stepmother, Mrs. Ralph Smith of Uniontown, and these children: Wayne of Citrus Heights, Cal.; Mrs. Audrey Hibler of Pittsburgh; Roger of Listonburg; and Gary of Laurel, Md.; and eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also by six brothers, Glenn and Donald, both of Two Harbors, Minn.; Carl of Pittsburgh; Marion of Indianhead; Robert of Mansfield, Ohio; and Ralph Jr. of Confluence; and five sisters, Mrs. Louise Lenhart of Beaufort, S.C.; Mrs. Evelyn Grafton of Cloquet, Minn.; and Mrs. Clara Mae Calvert of Xenia, Ohio; Miss Virginia Smith of Uniontown; and Mrs. Shirley Uphold of Fontana Cal. He was a member of the Indianhead Church of God and was a retired operating engineer. Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the Humbert Funeral Home, Confluence, where funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Tobias officiating.
