  George R. Smith, 69, Rockwood RD 2, formerly of Boswell, died April
  4, 1986, at Somerset Community Hospital.  Born Jan. 24, 1917, in
  Acosta, son of Nevin B. and Louise (Smith) Smith.  Preceded in death
  by parents, brother Carl E.  Survived by widow, former Erma Kathryn
  "Kay" Dunmeyer, and these sons: Richard, Somerset; James, Boswell;
  Robert, married to former Sharon Benna, Jennerstown; David, at home;
  four grandchildren: Sean, Renee, Tammy and Terri.  Brother of Robert
  W., Boswell.  Member of Boswell Post 461 American Legion, where he
  served as past commander; also member of Rockwood VFW.  Army veteran
  of World War II, retired miner and former tractor-trailer driver for
  Sheftic Tri-County Sales, Boswell.  Friends received from 7 to 9 p.m.
  Saturday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home,
  Allegheny St., Boswell, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday,
  the Rev. Chauncey J. Ickes.  Interment, Beam Cemetery.
