  SMITH
  
  Lorena Rae Smith, 79, Silverbell Drive, Edgewood, Md., formerly of
  Somerset, died Nov. 12, 1978 in the Fallston General Hospital, Bel
  Air, Md.  Born Dec. 4, 1898, in Somerset, she was the daughter of the
  late Clarence and Kathryn (Schultz) Pile.  Preceded in death by her
  husband, George H.  Survived by one daughter, Mrs. Kenneth (Janet)
  Hammer, Edgewood, Md.; one granddaughter; and one great grandson. 
  She was a sister of Howard Pile, Glendale, Ariz. and Mrs. Edna
  Hoffman, Monroeville.  She was a member of the Somerset First United
  Methodist Church and a charter member of the Firemen's Auxiliary. 
  Friends are being received after 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Richard E.
  Hauger Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m.
  Thursday with the Rev. John C. Cox officiating.  Interment, Somerset
  County Memorial Park.
