  MARY S. SMITH
  
    Mary S. Smith, 79, of 222 Armstrong Avenue, died Dec. 8, 1981 at
  Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md., where she was admitted Dec. 3.
    She was born in Wellersburg, and was a daughter of the late Walter
  Wingert and Eleanor (Shaffer) Wingert.
    She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the Mountain
  Chapter No. 15, O.E.S., Frostburg, Md., and the Ladies of the Ali
  Ghan Shrine Temple, Cumberland.
    She is survived by her husband, Alvin L. Smith; two daughters, Mrs.
  Mary L. Loesing, East Hills, N.Y., and Mrs. Joan Holmberg, Harrisburg;
  a son, Charles "Jerry" Smith, Chardon, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Mina
  Hentz and Mrs. Ada King, both of Mount Savage, Md.; six grandchildren
  and one great-grandchild.
    Friends were received at the Durst Funeral Home.
