  Etta Elizabeth Spangler, 65, of Duncansville, formerly of Somerset,
  died April 1, 1976, in Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C. 
  She was born in Bedford County April 8, 1911, a daughter of Arthur
  and Louanna (Himes) Browell.  Preceded in death by her husband, Guy
  S. Spangler Jr., in 1959.  Survived by three daughters: Mrs. Sandra
  Gyles, Tucson, Ariz.; Mrs. Carol Ann Brown, Duncansville; and Mrs.
  Deborah Beebe, Brookeville, Md.; two grandchildren; and these
  brothers and sisters: Arthur J. Browell, Everett; John K. Browell,
  West Warwick, R.I.;  Mrs. Grace Adams, Robertsdale; Mrs. Lenora
  Troutman, Riddlesburg; and Mrs. Naomi Kay, Akron, Ohio.  Funeral
  services today, Saturday, 1:30 p.m., in Robert H. Halverson Funeral
  Home, the Rev. Philip W. Ziegler officiating.  Interment, St. John's
  Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American
  Cancer Society or your favorite charity.
