  STEVANUS
  
  Ida M. Stevanus, 92, Rockwood RD 2, died Feb. 20, 1989, in Somerset
  Hospital.  Born May 25, 1896, in Summit Township, a daughter of the
  late Nelson A. and Mary (Engle) Burkholder.  Survived by two sons:
  Ray (Hix) Stevanus, Rockwood RD 3; and James, Rockwood; one daughter,
  Mrs. Eleanor Saylor, Connellsville; one sister, Mrs. Amanda Dowie,
  Somerset; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  Preceded in
  death by her husband, Gurney, in 1977; also by a son, John, Jan. 16,
  1987.  Friends will be received in the William J. Wood Funeral Home,
  Rockwood, Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where services will be
  conducted Thursday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Rex Wasser
  officiating.  Interment, Union Cemetery, New Centerville. 
  Arrangements under the direction of the William J. Wood Funeral Home,
  Rockwood, with Francis Brady supervising.
