Strohm, 65, Friedens RD 2, died May 21, 1985, at Somerset Community Hospital. Born June 19, 1919, in Monessen, she was a daughter of Walter B. and Nell (Given) Zollars. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Raymond. Survived by her husband, the Rev. James N., whom she married May 27, 1939, and these children: Sue Ann, New Kensington; Mrs. Thomas (Mary Jane) Unger, New Hope; Mrs. Lawrence (Emily Nell) Thom, Mt. View, Calif.; James Raymond, at home; and grandson, Lawrence Thom II. Sister of Mrs. Paul (Jean) Nau, Easley, S.C. She was a member of the Shanksville United Methodist Church and was secretary for Rev. Strohm when he was resident director at Camp Allegheny. Family received friends Wednesday evening and will receive friends 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Deaner Funeral Home, Stoystown, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Michael L. Holt assisted by the Rev. Marlin A. Miller. Interment, Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, Irwin, at 1:30 p.m. If friends desire instead of flowers, please make donations to the handicapped entrance fund of Shanksville United Methodist Church.
