  Alta E. Tannehill, 67, of Confluence RD 1, died Oct. 15, 1988, at home.
  Born April 21, 1921, in Henry Clay Township, a daughter of the late William
  H. and Estella (Show) Reckner.  Survived by her husband, Glenn; two
  daughters: Peggy Kreger, Ursina, and Doris Weyand, Somerset; and four sons:
  James of Confluence; David, St. Louis, Mo.; Richard and Paul, both of
  Somerset; 13 grandchildren; four sisters: Helen Biszantz of Burlington,
  N.C.; Jeanne McNamara, Baltimore, Md.; Betty Beckett, New Stanton; and
  Mildred Conn, Confluence; and a brother, John Reckner, Confluence.  Preceded
  in death by a brother, Harry.  She was a member of the Turkeyfoot Valley
  Baptist Church and the Confluence Senior Citizens.  Friends are being
  received 10 a.m.-9 p.m. today, Monday, at the Humbert Funeral Home,
  Confluence, where services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev.
  John Wilson and the Rev. Douglas Baker officiating.  Interment, Jersey
  Cemetery.  The family requests contributions be made to the Somerset Hospice
  Program, c/o Somerset Community Hospital.
