  THOMAS
  
  Frederick L. Thomas, 71, of Meyersdale, RD 3, died Oct. 13, at Sacred Heart
  Hospital, Cumberland, Md.  Born Sept. 30, 1918 in Meyersdale, son of the late
  Joseph and Florence (Hasselrode) Thomas.  Also preceded in death by wife, the
  former Evelyn R. Meyers.  Survived by these children: David L., Prince
  Frederick, Md.; Mrs. Donna Noonan, Palm Harbor, Fla.; and Mrs. Diane Pratt,
  Meyersdale, RD 3; also two grandchildren.  Brother of Ralph, of College Park,
  Md.; and Mrs. Mary Geiger, of King, Wis.  Veteran of the U.S. Army, World War
  II; Friends are being received at the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale, where
  services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today with Walter Fike officiating.
  Interment Union Cemetery.  Expressions of sympathy may take the form of
  contributions to the American Cancer Society.
