  TIPTON
  
  Jean Wilson Tipton, 66, of Hooversville, died April 2, 1988 at Windber
  Hospital.  Born Jan. 18, 1922 in Hooversville, daughter of Jacob H. and Mary
  (Wilson) Tipton.  Preceded in death by parents and one brother.  She was a
  sister of Miriam Callahan, Somerset; and James, of Crystal River, Fla.  She
  was a graduate of Hooversville High School, Class of 1941.  A member of
  Hooversville Christian Church, where she served as Sunday School
  Superintendent, retired from Dorfman-Hoffman, Boswell.  She formerly worked
  for G&L of Johnstown.  A member of the ILGU and the Hooversville Senior
  Citizens.  Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today at Deaner
  Funeral Home, Hooversville, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday,
  with the Rev. Homer Tantlinger officiating.  Interment P.O.S. of A.
  Cemetery, Hooversville.
