Tishue, widely known, and highly esteemed young man of this place, who passed away suddenly in the Uniontown Hospital, on Monday, April 14th, at the age of 32 years, 2 months and 1 day, was a great shock to his many friends. He leaves a widow, Mrs. Hilda Kemp Tishue, one son, John, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Tishue, of Somerfield; one brother, Thomas Tishue, Masontown; three sisters, Mrs. Paul Swank and Margaret Tishue, of Wilkinsburg, and Mrs. Fred Cuppett, Somerfield. He was a member of the F & A.M. Lodge of Meyersdale, the New Castle Consistory, Fort Necessity Chapter, S.A.R., and the Somerfield Borough School Board. Funeral services were held Thursday, April 17th, at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Tishue, with Dr. T. G. Hicks, Presiding Elder of the Pittsburgh District, and Rev. J. L. Duff, pastor of the local M. E. Church, officiating. The Masonic quartet of Meyersdale sang two beautiful hymns. Interment in Addison Cemetery, with the Masonic ritual at the grave.
