    Wheeler V. Urban, 73, of Garrett RD 1, died March 8 at the VA
  Medical Center, Altoona.  Born Dec. 1, 1916 in Listie.  A son of the
  late Michael and Florence (Newcomer) Urban.  Survived by his wife the
  former Mildred Vought; a daughter, Karen Wimberely, Houston, Texas;
  two step-sons, Robert I. Vought of Meyersdale RD 1 and Paul Kevin
  Vought of Garrett RD 1.  Five grandchildren, Sonya, Joshua and Caleb
  Vought; Carl and David Wimberely.  A brother of Richard of Abeline
  [sic], Texas, Robert of Listie, James of Clendenin, W.Va., Vivian
  Urban of Shanksville, and Geraldine Penserio of Somerset.  Member of
  St. Michael's Church, Listie, American Legion Post 112, D.A.V.
  American Ex-POW and Military Purple Heart.  A Veteran of WWII, he was
  a B17 waist gunner.  He was shot down on his 17th mission over
  Germany.  He was a retired cement mason.  Private funeral services
  are in charge of the Price Funeral Home, Meyersdale.  Pastor Pamela
  Armstrong officiating.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made
  to the American Cancer Society.
