Vogel died Tuesday, Nov. 8, 1932, in a Toledo, Ohio hospital, where he had been a patient for 7 weeks, suffering from valvular disease of the heart and a watery growth in the region of the same. He was born July 15, 1877, in Berlin, Pa., and was aged 55 years, 3 months and 23 days. At the age of 4 years he removed with his parents to Salisbury, Pa., where he grew to manhood. He attended the public schools of Salisbury and Elk Lick Township. When a boy he worked some upon farms, and later followed the occupation of coal miner, and in his last years worked in the factories of Toledo. Funeral services were held at the Berstiker Funeral Home, Nov. 11. Interment at Toledo. His wife, Nellie Garlitz Vogel, preceded him to the grave in 1918. The following named children survive: Clarence, Richard R., Grace M. and Marshall, all of Baltimore, Md., and Charles and Leonard, of Fort Hill, Pa. He is also survived by the following named brothers and sisters: John P. Vogel, Berlin, Pa.; Mrs. Ellen McQuade, Stoyestown, Pa.; Mrs. Cora B. Warner, Pittsburgh, and Mrs. Clara A. Thomas, Salisbury, Pa. He was the son of Peter and Rosanna Kidner Vogel. Meyersdale Republican, November 17, 1932
