WAGNER Mrs. Fannie Margaret Wagner, born and reared at Avilton, Garrett County, Md., Jan. 9, 1873, died in the Memorial Hospital, Cumberland, Md., March 21, 1943, aged 70 years, 2 months and 11 days. She was a daughter of Samuel and Isabelle Minkey Garlitz, and was united in marriage with Charles Wagner about 51 years ago, in Frostburg, Md. Her death was caused by internal cancers and followed a surgical operation which she underwent, Wednesday morning, March 16. She is survived by her husband and these children: Earl of Somerset; Harry of Uniontown; Lee of Baltimore, Md.; Marie, wife of C. G. Gonder, of Ligonier; Lillian, wife of Clarence Cochrane of Lechrone, Pa.; Florence of Somerset and Blanche of Johnstown. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Lavina Brown of Avilton, Md. For a number of years after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Wagner resided in Meyersdale, where Mr. Wagner was engaged in wagon-making and blacksmithing, but more than 20 years ago, they located in Salisbury, where Mr. Wagner was born and reared, and where he has been blacksmithing ever since. The funeral services for Mrs. Wagner were conducted at the family home, by Rev. Ira S. Monn, pastor of the Evangelical and Reformed Church, at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, where many relatives and friends called to pay their last sad respects to one whom they held in high esteem for her many good qualities and kindly acts to those about, and to those whom she could help in any way. There were many beautiful floral tributes. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery under the direction of Stanley M. Thomas, local mortician. Meyersdale Republican, March 25, 1943
