Walker, 87, of Indian Head, died Thursday, Dec. 19 in Highlands Hospital at Connellsville. He was born March 9, 1909 in Saltlick Twp., Fayette County, a son of the late Thomas and Margaret Nicholson Walker. He was a retired coal miner from the Eastern Gas and Fuel Associates at Melcroft. Member of the United Mine Workers of America and a member of the Indian Head Church of God. He is survived by his wife Emma N. Weimer Walker, whom he married Nov. 30, 1929 and a son, Wilfred Jack Walker, Columbus, Ohio. He was the last surviving member of his family being predeceased by his parents and two brothers, William H. Walker and Thomas E. Walker. There will be no viewing or visitation. Friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24 in the Indian Head Church of God, Indian Head, with the Rev. Dennis Arndt officiating.
