CHARLES H. WARNE

  Charles H. Warne, 60, retired carpenter, died Monday morning, May 19, at his 
home three miles east of Grantsville on Route 40, of a heart ailment of several 
weeks.  He was the son of the late Daniel and Margaret (Humberston) Warne, and 
was born at Ocean, Md.
  Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Matilda McKenzie Warne; the following children - 
Mrs. Howard Price of Hagerstown, Md.; Mrs. Paul Stark, Thomas Warne, Mrs. Ellis 
Durst of Grantsville; Ronald and Daniel Warne at home; five grandchildren, and 
four brothers - S. L. Warne, Javes Warne of Cleveland, O.; Stanley Warne of 
Frostburg, and Wilford Warne, Star Route, Frostburg.
  Funeral services will be held at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, Thursday 
afternoon, May 13, at 2 p.m. (DST).  Rev. D. J. Combs, pastor, will officiate.  
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
